I don't believe that people will prefer mobile devices to computers. I personally don't like to write posts to my blog or read books from the screen of mobile phone.

Having quality backlinks definitely is one foundation for getting higher rankings. However, you should still be very careful on what you do for link building because you don't want end up being tagged as spam. Also, I've read somewhere that paid links are actually being penalized by search engines. How they do that, I don't know. But we just have to be careful.
